摘要 PURPOSE: To uniformly pump to greatly improve the efficiency by directly irradiating an incident radiation beam on a cylindrical irradiation area in a prism and indirectly radiating an incident radiation beam reflected from one face having the same polarizing direction. CONSTITUTION: Two beams of radiation having a common axis parallel to a plane 8 bisecting a right-angle corner 7 of a rectangular-equilateral triangular prism 10 are introduced from two directions by halves 5, 6 of a pumping beam 9 into a cylindrical hollow 1 perpendicular to a triangular face 8 defined by sides 2, 3, 4. The contact thereof is at a distance from the vertex of the right angle 1.5 times or more the diameter of the cylindrical hollow 1. The pumping beam 9 is collimated at right angles to the axis of the cylindrical hollow 1 and linearly polarized in an approximately perpendicular direction to the axis of the hollow 1.
