PURPOSE:To improve the assembling property of a straight pipe type fluorescent lamp lighting unit and commonly use a part to those of various wattages. CONSTITUTION:End part holding blocks 3 for inserting and holding terminal pins 2 protruded from both end parts of a straight tube type fluorescent lamp 1 to carry a current are separately constituted. A straight tube type fluorescent lamp lighting unit is formed of the end part holding blocks 3 and a lighting block 5 arranged between the end part holding blocks 3, 3 and having a lighting part 4. Feed connecting parts 5a, 5a which are mechanically and electrically connected to the end part holding blocks 3 are formed on both end parts of the lighting block 5. Electric receiving connecting parts 3b which are mechanically and electrically connected to the feed connecting parts 5a are formed on the end parts of the end part holding blocks 3.
