摘要 |

A process for fastening two elements together involves (i) forming, in one of the elements, a through-hole (6) with a conical wall (6b) having radial ribs (6c); (ii) forming a projection (5) on the other element (1); (iii) interference fitting the projection in the through-hole, and (iv) pressing the projection tip (5a) to deform the projection (5) for joining the two elements (1,2) together. Pref. the element (2) with the through-hole (6) consists of plastics and may be a loudspeaker frame. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. for the upset (notch) fastening of plastics elements, e.g. a loudspeaker frame to a plate. The process allows fastening of a plastics element to a metal plate, even under various upset conditions, without producing cracks or flaws in the elements.
|
