Connection system for pipes conveying hot gases - uses double push-on sleeve with centre guide section and outer wider fastening sections engaging over pipe ends with interposed sealing ring

A push-on sleeve (4) having a guide section and wider fixing section (6,6') is designed to fit over the smooth ends (1,2) of the pipes. The fixing section of the sleeve has a ring cavity (8) contg. a sealing ring (9) set between the inside and outside of the pipe end. This fixing section has a pipe clip, for axially securing the connection between the pipe end and sleeve part. The sleeve is pref. a twin sleeve with a central section (5) forming the guide adjoined axially each side by the fixing sections. The inner dimensions of the guide and other sections of the sleeve allow the sleeve to fit completely over the pipe ends. USE/ADVANTAGE - Connection system for pipes conveying hot gases gives better security against accidental release.
