The invention concerns pyridyl-substituted 1,3-oxazolidine derivatives of the formula I, in which R<1> to R<4> are as defined in the description, a method of preparing such derivatives and their use in the control of pests, e.g. fungi, preferably in the plant field. The compounds of formula I can be prepared by analogous methods, e.g. by reacting amino alcohols with pyridine-3-aldehyde.
