PURPOSE:To provide a device supporting plural languages by which switching to the language convenient to a person who operates a system is easy in the man-machine interface device of a computer system. CONSTITUTION:A display/printing means 6 reads an output language flag 4 in accordance with a display/printing request 5 from a keyboard 1, for example, selects the picture of the language fitted to the display/printing request and the designation of the flag from a display/printing format file 10, reads a character string required for the screen from a character string file 11, refers to a font file 12 and displays it in CRT 7 or prints it by a printer 8. A voice output means 14 reads the output language flag 4 in accordance with a voice output request 13, reads voice information corresponding to the voice output request and the designation of the flag from a file 16 and outputs it to a speaker 15. The language to be outputted can arbitrarily be switched by a language alteration request 2 from the keyboard 1. |
