The silver drawing appts., with needle rods across the drawing line, has toothed belts (4) to drive the journals (12) of the rods with a toothed structure (42) at the outer side which matches the intervals between the needle rods (1). The carrier (5), to couple the journal (12) to the toothed belt (4) has a tooth profile matching the belt tooth structure (42) and contains the bearing for the journal (12) within it. At least one guide surface (53) is parallel to the movement path of the toothed belt (4) and at a gap from the driving flank (42) of the tooth. The guide surfaces (53) of the carrier (5) is parallel to the guide path sections (25) for the toothed belt. USE/ADVANTAGE - The assembly is a drawing unit, with needle rods, for silver material. The system gives a stable guide for all the needle rods, without oscillation, where all the stresses are absorbed and the rods remain securely in place.
