The suspension for saddle and/or handlebars (5,6) has at least one pivot joint, to which the saddle etc. is fastened via a carrier bar (15). The pivot joint has a torsion spring element (9). This consists of two concentric rings (10,11), and the space between the two is filled by an elastomer ring, which adheres to both rings. The carrier bar (8,15) is connected to the bicycle frame (2), and a support (14,18) is connected to the part to be sprung. Carrier and support are connected in four hinge points by two connecting rods (13a,b,c,d), to form a four-bar linkage. At least one of the joints is formed as a torsion spring element. USE/ADVANTAGE - Suspension system on bicycle is esp. for saddle or handlebars, is of simple construction, easy to install, requires only little changes on bicycle.
