<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of double feeding at the refeeding of paper by making the breadth of the perpendicular part of the second separating claw of an intermediate cassette in contact with the front end of copying paper wider than the width of the perpendicular part of the copying material of the 1st separating claw in contact with the leading end of copying material. CONSTITUTION:The perpendicular part 37 of the separating claw 33 of an intermediate cassette 15 has the same width from the portion proximate to a retaining part 36 down to the bottom end. This width is made wider than the breadth a of the portion where the notch 32 of the separating claw 24 of the paper feed cassette is left. Hence, at the time when the copying paper P2 which has become weaker in rigidity and has been undulated by having passed through a fixing device is refed from the intermediate cassette 15, this perpendicular part 37 acts as a sufficient resistor to the copying paper P2 and therefore the separation from the copying paper on the under side is sufficiently accomplished and the double feeding may be prevented. However, if the breadth of said perpendicular part 37 becomes too wide, the resistance becomes so large that a feed miss may occur.</p> |
