The apparatus for having the function for time-laps in VCR comprises a microprocessor for controlling the system, a motor-driver controlled by the microprocessor, first switching means for detecting strobe signal and key-in state, frequency providing means for providing basic frequency for the micro-processor, a servo-driver for driving a servo-motor, second switching means for detecting the displacement of deck in combination with a motor, thereby improving the reliability of auto-repeating function of predetermined sectors in a video-tape.
