PURPOSE:To provide a static pressure gas bearing which can support a rotary shaft in the radial direction by blowing gas from nozzles of a pair of end sleeves onto the outer periphery of the rotary shaft and also can rotate the rotary shaft at a high speed by blowing gas from nozzles of a central sleeve onto turbine blades. CONSTITUTION:This static pressure gas bearing has a configuration such that flange parts 12, 12 each having a diameter larger than that of a turbine blade 11 are formed on both sides of the turbine blade 11 in the axial direction, which is formed on the outer periphery of a rotary shaft 10. End sleeves 18, 18 can be inserted upon the rotary shaft 10 in the axial direction, and a center sleeve 19 can be inserted between the flanges 12, 12 in the radial direction. So, the tubine blade 11 can be formed so as to have an outside diameter equal to or smaller than that of the rotary shaft 10. So, the turbine blade can be made small and light. Therefore, it is possible to lower the peripheral speed of the turbine blade 11 and also to reduce the rotation resistance, and hance, to rotate the rotary shaft 10 at a high speed easily. |
