PURPOSE: To provide a transmission controller taking different influence quantities to dynamic characteristics for running into account and having very high reliability in operation. CONSTITUTION: A transmission controller 6 is provided with a fuzzy logic closed loop controller 23 having one fuzzy control rule bases and different signals (DK, nab ,...) indicating running conditions of an automobile are evaluated by the fuzzy control rule base to generate a first adjustment signal (load) representing a load condition of the automobile, a second adjustment signal (driver) representing a driving manner for switching to a corresponding gear shift speed switching characteristic map, and a prevention signal (switching) preventing gear shift speed switching which may incur dynamically unfavorable running condition. |
