PURPOSE:To obtain a greaseless resin sliding member excellent in slidability on a member of the same material or a member of another resin material by mixing a polyphenylene ether resin with a specified ethylene copolymer and a vinylaromatic compound/conjugated diene compound copolymer in a specified mixing ratio. CONSTITUTION:The member comprises 64-88 pts.wt. polyphenylene ether resin [e.g. poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene ether)] optionally containing a PS resin, 4-12 pts.wt. ethylene copolymer (e.g. low-density PE) containing a structure of the formula [wherein R1 is H or CH3; R2 is 1-4C prim. or sec. alkyl, COOR3 (wherein R3 is H, 1-4C prim. or sec. alkyl, epoxy or hydroxyl)] and 8-24 pts.wt. hydrogenated vinylaromatic compound/conjugated diene compound copolymer (e.g. styrene/butadiene copolymer). |
