PURPOSE:To improve the corrosion resistance of a bearing by constituting a part from a metal having the larger ionization tendency than that of the base material of the orbital wheel of a roller bearing. CONSTITUTION:The both edge inside diameter part of an outer race 2 and the both edge outside diameter part of an inner race 1 are constituted of the metal parts 5 and 6 having the larger ionization tendency than that of the mertensite group stainless steel as base material. Further, these metal parts 5 and 6 are formed by integrally fixing a ring body made of the base metal such as zinc and lead onto the base material, and the inside diameter side of the metal part 5 and the outside diameter side of the metal part 6 are oxposed to the bearing inside space. Since a part except the rolling surface of an orbital wheel is constituted of the metal having the larger ionization tendency than that of the base material of the orbital wheel, a battery is formed between the metal parts 5 and 6 and the base material, and the metal parts 5 and 6 form anodes and the base material part forms a cathode. When this bearing is placed in the corrosive environment, the metal parts 5 and 6 as sacrifice anodes positively react with the reactive substance in the environment, and the generation of corrosion on the rolling surfaces 1b and 2b is prevented. |
