PURPOSE:To provide a nonwoven fabric having excellent sound-insulation property and cushioning property, producible by a short production process and enabling the reduction of the weight of the product. CONSTITUTION:The objective nonwoven fabric having a density of 0.02-0.08g/cm<3> is produced by laminating a surface web 1 having prescribed color and feeling to a backing web 2 containing low-melting fibers 2b nearly homogeneously mixed into regular fibers 2a and subjecting the laminate to needle punching and heat-treating at a temperature below the melting point of the regular fiber 2a and above the melting temperature of the low-melting fiber 2b to integrate the webs by using the low-melting fiber 2b as a binder. |
