PURPOSE:To provide the precooked food accommodated in a direct fire-heating type package, capable of direct heating without scorching and without reducing flavor essential to the main foodstuff and a seasoning solution and of ready cooking without requirement for stirring. CONSTITUTION:The main foodstuff 2 is put in a direct-heating type package 1 and a concentrated seasoning solution 3 gelled with a gelling agent is put on the main foodstuff 2 not so as to come into contact with the inner surface of the package 1. When taking the precooked food, a suitable amount of water is added into the package and the package is subsequently heated with direct fire. Immediately after heating, water under the main foodstuff and water in contact with the side wall of the package are rapidly heated whereas the gelled concentrated seasoning solution placed on the main foodstuff is not melted yet. As continuing heating, the gelled concentrated seasoning solution is gradually melted and the molten concentrated seasoning solution is dispersed in the package and suitably diluted gradually. Since the seasoning solution is prevented from being rapidly heated immediately after the start of heating, scorching at the interface between the package and the seasoning solution can effectively be prevented. |
