PURPOSE:To make a desired braking state in relation to brake operation input settable by operating the desired braking state on the basis of a braking characteristic, and installing a controller which outputs such a signal as adjusting a braking force controller so as to become the desired braking state. CONSTITUTION:When a driver sets a braking characteristic optionally with a braking characteristic setting device 2, actual driving henceforth is controlled on the basis of this set braking characteristic. In brief, various factors of the formed function are sought, and a desired braking state to successive brake operation input is operated by a computer 3, and on the basis of the result, a signal is outputted to a braking force controller connected to the computer 3, whereby the braking state is controlled so as to become the desired state. In this successive brake operation input, tread power sensor 15 is connected to the computer 3, and an operation input value detected by this tread power sensor 15 is inputted into the computer 3 after being subjected to analog-to- digital conversion.
