PURPOSE:To provide the subject safe, tasteless and odorless inhibitor having excellent bacterial plaque formation-suppressive effect. CONSTITUTION:The objective inhibitor which contains as active ingredient, water-soluble heteropplysaccharides, can be obtained, for example, by diluting waste molasses derived from sweet potatoes with water followed by addition of a water-soluble organic solvent such as acetone to produce crude glucosyltransferase activity inhibitor as precipitate which is then purified with a polysulfone ultrafiltration membrane. |
