CONSTITUTION:Aluminum salt or alkoxide deriv. is hydrolyzed, and obtained alumina precursor sol or gel is dryed under supercritical state, and the obtained alumina porous body is sintered at >=500 deg.C, and at least one noble metal selected among Pt, Pd and Rh and rare earth component, if necessary, is added to the obtained activated alumina, and the catalyst composition having >=50m<2>/g specific surface area and >=50% porosity is obtained. Then, the catalyst layer containing the catalyst composition is applied and deposited on the heat resistant inorg. monolithic carrier. |
