<p>PURPOSE:To favourably supply electric power to a catalyzer with an electric heater without causing hindrance of electric power supply to vehicle electric load. CONSTITUTION:Separately from a main battery 3 for vehicle electric load 2, a battery 4 for a heater is provided. Quick activation of a catalyzer is attempted by switching on a discharge control switch 7 under a constant condition immediately after an engine starts and electrifying the catalyzer 1 with an electric heater from the battery 4 for the heater. Thereafter, a charge control switch 6a is switched on under a constant condition at the time of normal drive of the engine and an alternating electric current is taken out from an alternator 5, and by raising pressure and converting it to a direct electric current, the battery 4 for the heater is charged.</p> |
