PURPOSE:To provide a mouth piece for an extrusion machine which does not take much time for processing, does not cost much, and yet is highly abrasion- resistant with a long use life of two to three years and extrudes a product with the same gloss as one extruded using a conventional extrusion machine. CONSTITUTION:The subject mouth piece of soft steel for an extrusion machine which extrudes a product such as of rubber is covered with a carburized film 11 with thickness t=0.1+ or -0.02mm on the inner surface. The inner surface hardness of the film 11 is 80 to 90 (HV 650) of Rockwell superficial which is hard enough to resist a file and therefore, is resistant against abrasion. |
