MANUFACTURE OF WEATHER STRIP FOR AUTOMOBILE

PURPOSE:To provide a method for easily manufacturing a product without no joints at parts exposed to the outside and having excellent appearance even when a change is required in shapes of main seal parts of an extrusion molding weather strip to be connected integrally through a die molding weather strip. CONSTITUTION:A weather strip having main seal parts 7 of double structure consisting of an inner layer 9 and an outer layer 8 corresponding to a pair of valve shapes at right and left having different shapes is formed by extrusion molding. From the extrusion molding weather strip, a part to which a die molding weather strip 2 is to be connected is cut off by leaving a lip part 10 exposed to the outside in a cross linking state after a vehicle is attached. The outer layer 8 of either of main seals 7 in right and left adjacent to the cut part is cut off so as to expose the inner layer 9. Thereafter, the die molding weather strip 2 is connected integrally to a part cut by leaving a lip part 10' of cross linking shape of a molded form by mold forming.
