PURPOSE: To obtain a three dimensional CT method with high resolution capacity, by scanning inside multiple orthogonal planes so that projection data can be obtained on the surface of a two dimensional detector both for each rotational position inside a scanning plane and for each scanning plane. CONSTITUTION: This CT system has an assembly composed by equipping X-ray tubes 5-5" and detectors 7-7" mutually opposed respective for three perpendicular or orthogonal circles G1-G3 and makes a three dimensional subject such as a patient be positioned within the center part of the circles G1-G3. In order to scan to obtain two dimensional projection data, the assembly and the subject are relatively rotated on a first plane and also relatively rotated on a second plane substantially perpendicular to the first plane. Further, the assembly and the subject are rotated on a third plane substantially perpendicular to the first and second planes to carry out data processing on the first - third planes to obtain the three dimensional data mesh expressing a part of the subject. |
