PURPOSE:To provide a production method of a carbonyl compound capable of preventing deterioration of a catalytic activity due to sedimentation of a palladium component in the form of palladium black, etc., and simultaneously keeping sufficient activity and producing the carbonyl compound in high yield and good productivity. CONSTITUTION:The method for producing a carbonyl compound is characterized by producing the carbonyl compound by oxidizing an olefin in at least one kind of organic solvent selected from a group consisting of an oxygen-containing organic compound, a sulfur-containing organic compound and a nitrogen- containing organic compound or a solvent obtained by adding water to the organic solvent in the presence of a palladium compound and/or a metallic palladium, a polyoxo anion based compound and an organophosphorus compound. |
