PURPOSE: To simplify a structure of a diaphragm type clutch for a motor vehicle and improve elasticity. CONSTITUTION: This clutch mechanism consists of a cover plate 14, a diaphragm 20, an assembly means attaching the diaphragm 20 so as to move pivotally on the cover plate 14, and at least one pressure plate 18 in contact with the diaphragm 20. The assembly means constitutes a support ring 26 joined with the cover plate and a pivot fulcrum 48 for the diaphragm 20 by a series of rivets 28 which make axial direction distance between the support ring and the cover plate 14 constant. For example, it consists of an elastically deformable means formed by a crown ring 44. |
