PURPOSE:To obtain a humidifier having a low cost and excellent humidifying capacity by incorporating many steam passing tubes opened with a gas supply passage and a heat transfer tube opened at an exhaust passage in a humidifier body. CONSTITUTION:Both ends 1a, 1b of a humidifier body 1 are passed through both ends of a first tube 2, and both ends of the passed tube 2 are opened with a gas supply passage P. Further, both ends 1a, 1b of the body 1 are passed through both ends of a second tube 3, and both ends of the passed tube 3 are opened with an exhaust passage Q. Here, the tube 2 is formed of a steam permeable membrane, water in the body 1 is introduced as steam into its interior to humidify the supply gas flowing therein. The tube 3 is formed of a material having excellent heat conduction to transfer heat of the exhaust gas flowing therein to water W in the body 1. Thus, waste heat of the exhaust gas is utilized to raise a temperature of humidifying water, thereby increasing a humidifying amount to the supply gas. |
