The controller has two control cams (6,7) on one shaft, one profile registering with the other. Each cam operates the same valve (9), controlling the fuel gas mixture into the combustion chamber. A single rocker (4) transmits selectively, under effect of operators (10,16,17), the action of one or other cam. The rocker may rotate free on a control shaft (10), which is displaced by an engine control, to apply the action of one or other cam. The rocker may slide along the control shaft against opposing helical return springs (16,17). USE/ADVANTAGE - Varies valve timing, to reduce consumption and emission of pollutants. Simple, low cost manufacture.
