PURPOSE:To efficiently and speedily search for target data without performing a searching process for unnecessary items. CONSTITUTION:A table wherein plural items are set is stored in a table data storage part 15. When this table is searched for a specific word, a search mode is specified from a key input part 12, and then the item is specified and the search word is inputted. When the item name is inputted, a control part 11 displays the item name at a display part 20 and also holds it in an internal register, and then makes a guide display 'search word?' at the display part 20. When the search word is inputted, it is sent to an arithmetic and comparison part 18 and held in the internal register. The control part 11 reads the table data of the specific item out of the table data storage part 15 to the arithmetic and comparison part 18, compares the data with the search data held in the internal register, and reads a data group having the same data with the search word and displays it at the display part 20. |
