PURPOSE:To easily input and output an educational mathematical expression and facilitate user customerization as to the device for inputting and outputting the mathematical expression by a computer. CONSTITUTION:Keys required for the mathematical expression input can be set with educational key setting data 11 and auxiliary key setting data 12. Then keys and output functions are made to correspond to each other by using table data 31. An output function selecting means 154 selects an output function corresponding to the code of an input key by referring to the table data 31 and starts it. A one-line display means 155 and a multi-line display means 156 are provided and a one-line display and a multi-line display of the mathematical expression are optionally switched. Input data regarding the mathematical expression are saved in the form of the data code 21 of mathematical expression data for exchange and also saved in text format consisting of character strings, and a document 51 containing the mathematical expression can be outputted as it is. |
