MANUFACTURE OF COLLECTOR ASSEMBLY FOR ELECTROCHEMICAL TANK

PURPOSE: To simplify a manufacturing method by inserting one of a current collector end portion into an opening from the bottom face of a sealed body sufficient distance apart for exposing a small part of the current collector in an upper area than the top face of the sealed body. CONSTITUTION: The leading end portion 18 of a current collector 14 is inserted into an opening from the bottom face 38 of a sealed body 12. By pushing the leading end portion 18 of the current collector 14 into the sealed body 12 sufficient distance apart for exposing a small part of the current collector 14 leading end portion 18 in an upper area than the top face 36 of the sealed body 12 the same is thrust into the center opening of the sealed body 12. The top face 36 of the sealed body 12 is formed so as to be a surface facing the inner face apart from the inner face of the vessel, and the bottom face of the sealed body 12 is formed so as to face the inner face of the vessel when a current collector assembly 10 is incorporated into the vessel. Preferably, one half or less of the length of the current collector 14 is inserted into the sealed body 12.
