PURPOSE:To eliminate the deformation of metal leads and prevent the short- circuiting between adjoining connecting terminals or between respective metal leads while facilitating automation in a manufacturing method for a fluorescent display tube with a flexible printed circuit (FPC). CONSTITUTION:An FPC 4 is soldered to metal leads 2 containing a tie-bar 3. Subsequently, the FPC 4 is folded back at the angle of 180 deg., then the tie-bar 3 is cut and removed, and the FPC 4 is restored to its original position so as to finish the connection of the FPC 4. Accordingly, the deformation of the metal leads 2 can be eliminated, so that positioning and soldering can be facilitated. |
