TENSION SERVO MECHANISM OF MAGNETIC RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide the tension servo mechanism of a magnetic recording/ reproducing device constituted so as to eliminate damage of a tape and wear of a magnetic head by making the tape tension constant at the time of tape REW mode. CONSTITUTION:A brake arm 6 having a 1st brake shoe 8 to control the brake operation to a reel table 1 of supply side in accordance with the tape tension at the time of REW mode of tape is provided. The mechanism is constituted of also a 2nd brake shoe 9 relatively moving with the 1st brake shoe 8 and performing the brake operation to the reel table 1 of supply side when the 1st brake shoe 8 is in the state of brake OFF.
