<p>PURPOSE:To shorten warming-up time, to miniaturize a device, to provide low power consumption and to improve durability by interposing and carrying a recording medium on which an unfixed toner image is carried between the contact surfaces of a heating roller heated by energizing an electric conductive elastomer layer and a heatproof thin film belt, and fixing the image. CONSTITUTION:The fixing device which is provided with the heating roller 1 having the electric conductive elastomer layer rotatably supported, at least two tension rollers 3 disposed in parallel with the roller 1 and rotatably supported, and the heatproof thin film belt 2 stretched and laid by the rollers 3; and where the outer surface of the belt 2 comes in contact with the roller 1 in terms of surface is used. Since a heat source need not be provided inside, the diameter of a roller for fixing is made small, the device is light in weight and small in size, then the warming-up time is shortened.</p> |
