<p>PURPOSE:To emit sounds of large sound volume and to improve emission of low-pitched sounds by extending the inside diameter of the straight pipe part of a French horn. CONSTITUTION:A straight pipe part 14 is connected to the rear end of a suction pipe 13 to which a mouth piece is fitted, and the straight pipe part 14 is provided with an F pipe 16 and a B<6> pipe 17 switched by switching valves 15A and 15B. A no.1 pipe 20 as a taper pipe and a bell 21 are connected to the rear end of the straight pipe part 14. The diameter of the straight pipe part 14 is extended, and diameters of taper pipes 13, 20, and 21 are extended correspondingly to the inside diameter of the straight pipe part 14. As the result, the ff range is extended and emission of low-pitched sounds is improved at the time of performance. In this case, the conventional tone quality is not damaged as the whole of the French horn 11.</p> |
