PURPOSE:To judge the quality of installation in a short time without individual difference by projecting light in the shape of a coupler housing, and measuring the installed state of a terminal pin to the housing by the transmission quantity of the light. CONSTITUTION:A projecting part consisting of a light emitting diode is provided on one side surface of a housing 2 to project a light, and the projected light is received by a light receiving part consisting of a light receiving element provided on the other surface. When a terminal pin 4 is not perfectly installed to the housing 2, the stopper 8 of the housing 2 is pushed up by the lance 4a of the pin 3, this part prevents the transmission of light, the light reaching the light receiving part has the light quantity of the area shown by an oblique line part R, and is reduced, compared with the perfectly installed case. By measuring the light quantity difference between the light quantity at perfect installation and the light quantity at imperfect installation, the quality of installation can be judged. |
