PURPOSE:To obtain a process cartridge capable of attaining the improvement of operabilities for attaching/detaching, the prevention of the malfunction of a drive changeover means, reduction in cost, etc., and an image forming device to which the process cartridge can be fitted. CONSTITUTION:The process cartridge is constituted so as to include an image carrier 13, plural developing means 8 acting on the image carrier 13, and the drive changeover means 50 changing over the drive of the developing means 8, and controls the drive changeover means 50 based on the result of the detection of a detecting means (sensor) 9 provided on the side of a device main body. The detecting means 9 is provided on the side of the device main body, so that it is unnecessary that the detecting means 9 is electrically connected with the device main body, and a detecting signal does not include a noise, but the malfunction of the drive changeover means 50 is prevented and simultaneously, the operabilities for attaching/detaching the process cartridge can be improved. Moreover, the process cartridge as consumable goods does not include the detecting means 9, so that the process cartridge is reduced in the cost. |
