PURPOSE:To securely press-fit a flat cable with accuracy. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of contacts 13 are held in alignment by an insulative housing 11. Press-contacting portions are inserted into a plurality of press-fitting portion inserting holes 30b so that a first cover 30 is mounted on the upper surface of the insulative housing 11. A second cover 50 is fixed on the first cover 30 in such a manner as to hold a flat cable 40. Corrugated flat cable grooves 30a, 51b are formed in such a manner that a corrugated outer surface of an insulative coat of the flat cable 40 is fitted to the surfaces facing to each other of the first and second covers 30, 40. The corrugated outer surface of the insulative coat is inserted into the flat cable groove, thus holding the flat cable 40 between the first and second covers 30, 50. |
