<p>PURPOSE:To accelerate arithmetic operation by displaying a plane polygon (polygon) after perspective transformation without performing division processing. CONSTITUTION:An arithmetic operation part 4 rotates and moves three- dimensional model data according to a parameter, and the luminance of an object surface is calculated at every polygon. The calculated result of the arithmetic operation part 4 is sent to a perspective transformation part 6 and projected on a two-dimensional screen. Then, a polygon expansion part 7 decomposes the perspectively transformed three-dimensional model data and sends the decomposed polygon to a Z sort part 8. The Z sort part 8 rearranges at polygons in the order of a depth direction to the field of viewing for the unit of a polygon, and a plotting part 9 writes the polygon corresponding to the screen. Afterwards, the polygon is read out and sent to a coloring part 11; In this case, which positional relation of the polygon is obtained to the screen is not evaluated at the arithmetic part 4 but written in a frame memory 10 by utilizing an expression obtained by the perspective transformation of the perspective transformation part 6 when plotting the polygon on the screen by the plotting part 9.</p> |
