摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a liq. crystal orienting film having a large pretilt angle by allowing acid components including specified tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride to react with a specified diamine compd. CONSTITUTION:This liq. crystal orienting film contains polyimide resin obtd. by allowing acid components including 20-100% tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride represented by formula I to react with diamine compds. including 20-100% diamine represented by formula II. In the formula I, (n) is an integer of 6-16. In the formula II, two amino groups bond to the o-, m- or p-positions of the ring. The acid components preferably include 20-100% tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride represented by the formula I and especially preferably include 30-100mol% of the dianhydride. The diamine components preferably include 20-100% diamine represented by the formula II and especially preferably include 30-100mol% of the diamine.
