CONSTITUTION:A multi-period portion of an input musical sound signal is taken into a storage means, and a set of harmonic coefficients are generated from the stored musical sound signal by a harmonic coefficient generator 225 and are stored in an acoustic coefficient memory 224. Harmonic coefficients are selectively read out from another harmonic coefficient memory 26 and the acoustic coefficient memory 224, and plural data words corresponding to the amplitude at a point prescribing the musical sound waveform are calculated by a calculating means 101.
