PURPOSE:To mount the body of a luminaire at a specified level using a mounting element whether the hitch ceiling concerned is of a high protruding height or low. CONSTITUTION:A ceiling connection part 12 to be connected with a hitch ceiling and a body mounting part 13, where the body of a luminaire concerned is mounted, are provided on a mounting element 11 with possibility of expanding and contracting. A guide groove 46 is provided at the side face of the ceiling connection part 12, while a detaining boss 102 to be slidably fitted in the guide groove 46 is furnished on the body mounting part 13. The expanding/contracting motions are guided smoothly by fitting of this boss 102 in the groove 46. When the ceiling connection part 12 is elongated, the end of the groove 46 is detained with the boss 102, and the elongated position of the part 12 can be restricted. Prior to mounting of the fixture, the mounting element 11 can be set previously at the level of the hitch ceiling. |
