PURPOSE:To provide a device far accurately determining a base sequence of nucleic acid in a short time. CONSTITUTION:Near the terminal part of a gel electrophoresis plate 4 mounted on an electrophoresis bath 1, the nucleic acid fragment of multiple kinds, cut to various lengths at respective base parts and labeled with different fluorescent materials to each base kind of the parts to be cut, is injected. A specific position of the migration path formed by application of electric field is provided with a photodetector 5, and based upon the multiple time lapse of detection output, whose wave lengths were identified, of the photodetector obtained during electrophoresis, the base sequence of a sample is decided. So, with no labor for transprinting a pattern onto a photographic dry plate, the detection output far determining base sequence is obtained while making multiple kinds of samples migrate at the same time on the migration plate. |
