PURPOSE: To automatically generate the whole of a musical arrangement having a melody and an accompaniment on a computer by outputting MIDI(musical instrument digital interface) data representing music based on a random-number parameter by a MIDI synthesizer. CONSTITUTION: This system is implemented in a hardware environment of a CPU 1 like a microprocessor and units mutually connected through a system bus 2. That is, a random-number parameter for arrangement is generated by a random number generator, and various MIDI data representing music based on the random-number parameter is generated. MIDI data has main sounds, auxiliary sounds, accompaniment sounds, bass sounds, a mode, a tempo, and a key. MIDI data representing music based on the random-number parameter is outputted through the MIDI synthesizer to generate music. That is, short passages are selected and operated at random and restrictions of a proper musical structure are used to obtain arranged peculiar composition. |
