PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device capable of completely following up the change of developing characteristic caused by the change of environment or secular change. CONSTITUTION:A fixed latent image pattern is formed on a photosensitive drum 1, and the quantity of adhering toner by development is detected by an optical sensor. In order to make the detected quantity of toner a desired toner adhesive quantity, the distance of a gap between the surfaces of the photosensitive drum 1 and a developing roller 2 is adjusted by moving a pair of variable spacer rollers 10 by a driving means such as a step motor or it may be applicable that the toner adhesive quantity on the developing roller 2 is detected by the optical sensor so as to adjust impressed voltage on a toner supply roller 3 and/or impressed voltage on a blade 4. |
