PURPOSE:To enable even a player, who has neither non knowledges experiences related to chord advance, to play a suitable melody adapted to the accompaniment or the like based on the chord. CONSTITUTION:A key number K inputted by a melody keyboard is converted to a numerical value corresponding to a key number in one octave, namely, an address in accordance with a formula shown in a step S23 by a chord number R corresponding to the chord inputted by an accompaniment keyboard. Thereafter, a corresponding chord scale arrangement is selected by the chord number designated in a step S24. In a step S25, a numerical value to be subtracted from the key number K of the depressed key is obtained by obtained address and chord number, and melody sounds having the pitch corresponding to the subtracted key number are generated. |
