PURPOSE:To remove foams effectively and economically from sludge by the procedure in which a discharge port is provided at the lower part of an inlet and outlet hole for gas above an enclosed tank, sluge is introduced into an appropriate position of the enclosed tank, and defoaming is performed under vacuum while overflowing it. CONSTITUTION:Sludge is introduced into the sludge charger R provided to the stainless steel enclosed tank 1 with a deep-bottomed hollow space and then overflowed from the overflow cylinder 15 or blown upwards. At the same time, the gas suction and discharge device P is operated to suck up the sludge from the through hole 2 provided at the upper part of the tank 1 under vacuum for defoaming. And, when the sludge is accumulated up to a fixed position, the liquid level switch 5 detects the condition and the sludge discharger Q is operatd to discharge the defoamed sludge from the through hole 3 provided at the bottom of the tank 1 until the liquid level switch 6 begins to operate. Thus, damage to apparatus is made less, the intermixture of impure metals is prevented, and also the dofoaming process is automatized. |
