PURPOSE: To provide a comparing method whereby the comparison time can be shortened even for a large scale data file. CONSTITUTION: First and second data tables are loaded (10), a first key indexing table is loaded (100), a match table, a first unmatch table and a second key indexing table are loaded (200), and a second unmatch table is loaded (300) so that three passes are obtained through the data table, keyword index conversion is used and the table including the display of match and unmatch is generated. A keyword is obtained from the first data table by the first pass and used as index at the time of loading the indexing table, the keyword is used for a question against the corresponding indexing table by the second pass and the keyword from another table is used for locating the record of another unmatch table by the three pass.
