The camera system comprises a box (6) containing the camera itself (1) with a lens (12), and three spirit levels (2,5,11) to ensure the correct alignment of the box. A compass (4) enables the exact position w.r.t. three targets around the object to be photographed. The assembly allows determination of the orientation of negatives relative to an axis (Ro) and relative to magnetic north. The box is mounted upon a camera tripod (13) with adjustments, or on topographic equipment for measurement of angles and distances. A minimum of two photographs are taken of a target area along axes which may or may not be parallel. USE - For architects, surveyors, decorators, landscape painters, criminologists of murder or accident and sports clubs, eg for analysing exterior or interior of building or moving tennis ball.
