The respiratory assistance device includes a compression system (2) which is connected to a nasal mask (1) by a tube (3) so as to deliver to the patient a pressurised gas. A pressure detector (5) is mounted between the compression system (2) and the mask (1). A control unit (4) sends a control signal (PAR) to the compressor (2). The signal (PAR) is dependent upon a set pressure value (REG). The control system (4) includes an integrator (8,9) which produces an output value (SL,SR) proportional to the integral , over a pre-set integration time from the difference between the output signal (MP) of the pressure detector (5) and a step signal (C) representing the pressure level (REG). The output value (SL,SR) of the integrator (8,9) is used to establish the control signal(PAR). USE/ADVANTAGE - Delivers positive continuous pressure value which has improved stability compared with existing systems. |
