PURPOSE:To easily and automatically shape a series of documents separately stored in plural document files. CONSTITUTION:The document files 9-1 to 9-n which constitute the series of structured documents having logical structure and layout structure are read in; when there is succession shaping information on the document files, shaping information on the document files is initialized into succession shaping information before the document files are shaped and a document shaping part 6 which refers to the shaping information shapes the documents. A shaping information update part 7 updates the shaping information as the shaping advances, and a succession shaping information holding part 5-1 holds the shaping information at the end of the shaping as succession shaping information and outputs it to the shaped document files. Then the succession shaping information is taken over in order according to the order held in an order holding part 8-1 and continuous shaping control over the documents in the document files 9-1 to 9-n is performed to shape the series of structured documents. The succession of the shaping information can be taken over as a shaping information succession file 8-2. |
